TRAILER: Punisher: War Zone
If you’re a fan of ultraviolence and kitsch, this new comic book flick might be your poison.
Looking loads more promising than its inept predescessor, “War Zone” replaces Tom Jane with Ray Stevensen as the vengeance-loving vigilante.
I’m excited for this movie for a few reasons. (1) “Rome’s” Ray Stevensen really looks and acts the part of a badass. (2) The director is Lexi Alexander, who made “Green Street Hooligans,” a movie that was just OK but really well directed. And (3) Dominic West. So what do you do after wrapping up your fifth and final season as “The Wire’s” tortured antihero? You, Mr. West, play a ridiculous villain named Jigsaw, whose face is merely a few stitched-together pieces of flesh. Kudos.
